Most folks have limited interaction with their general dentist. They might visit the office twice a year for teeth cleanings. During these appointments, they deal mostly with the hygienist. Their dentist makes an appearance at visit’s end to review X-rays and talk about overall oral health.
If you’ve come to see me – for an implant, to help relieve your TMJ, to deal with your snoring and sleep apnea – you and I will be spending a fair amount of time together. So, as we enter into your treatment, I’d like you to be as informed as possible and get to know me better.
First and foremost, I want to assure you that you’re in competent hands. I have more than 21 years experience in this field, and my work has earned international recognition. I’ve been honored by colleagues who have invited me to deliver keynote addresses at international conferences in more than 40 countries. I’m keenly passionate about research and innovation, and am always on the leading edge of implementing new technological advances. A case in point, I’ve designed my office to be fully digital.
Following is some important information about procedures you may be consulting with me about:
IMPLANTS: An implant is not a cookie-cutter procedure. The condition of every patient’s mouth is different. I have performed over 6,000 successful implants, from single tooth implants to implant supported fixed bridges, implant-supported overdentures and full arch fixed bridges. After we do your initial examinations, we will discuss your individual treatment plan, and answer any of your questions and concerns.
TMJ: Notoriously difficult to diagnose and treat properly, TMJ symptoms vary widely. I will assess your condition and ascertain if it can be handled via a simple nightguard, or if surgery is indicated.
SLEEP APNEA: In situations of mild to moderate sleep apnea, a dental appliance may be the appropriate treatment. I will fabricate one for you that is customized for maximum effectiveness and comfort.
My philosophy is this: my work is always customized to your specific needs. I take the time, and have the necessary expertise to be gentle, to offer the kind of dentistry you deserve without compromising the stability and longevity of the dental work I’m performing. I look forward to meeting and speaking with you.
